As reported, prior to WrestleMania 33, the Big Show and Shaquille O’Neal were being scheduled to have a match, but that never went through. Big Show would say it’s WWE’s fault, and at times say that Shaq wasn’t up to it.
Well, during the 100 episode of Shaquille’s “The Big Podcast” Shaq gave his side of the story and why the match at Wrestlemania 33 never happened.
Here’s what he had to say after he was asked why he never showed up: *Question asked by his co-host*
Because they kept playing. First they said it was me and Big Show. Then, they said it was going to be a 3 and 3. Then, they cancelled it so when they cancelled it, i made other arrangements.
Then they tried to call back and tried to get it done, and I just said “I’m not going to do it.” They messed it up.
Shaq’s co-host said that he didn’t think Shaq would do it, if it meant him losing to the Big Show at WrestleMania. Shaq would respond:
So you’re saying I didn’t want to lose? It’s for the kids, John. I would have lost for the kids. For the kids.”
