WWE Unification Match Biggest Downfalls.

20131125_TLC_CenaOrton_LIGHT_HOMEPAGE

On Sunday December 15th during the TLC PPV the WWE will be unifying both the WWE Championship (Randy Orton), and the World Heavyweight Championship (John Cena) to determine who the Champion of Champions will be.

I got some problems with this when it comes to status and build up of this match.

A match of this stature should have been built up months prior, to get the audience behind the excitement and to prove that the champions are the best in the business. Yet that didn’t happen, as a matter of fact it was literally decided to have this match 1 month prior to the announcement at Survivor Series when Cena came out just after Orton defeated Big Show. A match like this should be meant for Wrestlemania status, but the WWE has decided to unify them during a PPV which only hardcore WWE fans will purchase.

In addition I find that both competitors have not legitimized themselves as true champion material. Randy Orton had the WWE championship handed to him by Triple H after he blindsided Daniel Bryan, and also has never won cleanly against his adversaries. He always receives some type of interference or help. Most recently during Survivor Series, Triple H came out and distracted Big Show allowing Orton to pick up the win retaining the WWE Championship. His character acts and seems to need the Authority there by his side to win, and that for me is not a champions legitimate claim of ownership.

As for Cena, he won the World Heavyweight Championship what, 2 months ago? He claimed he would bring back legitimacy to the title, but how can you do that in 2 months? He hasn’t legitimized it yet, let alone competed in more then 3 matches for it. But we’re all to believe the World Heavyweight Championship has run it’s course due to Cena making it the number one title there is? You cannot claim to legitimize a title and then get rid of it 2 months down the line. A perfect example of legitimacy was CM Punk and his reign as WWE Champion. Over a year he defended and won any and every match that came his way. He became a champion worth watching and a champion worth cheering for.

Another issue I find with this match is that Cena and Orton have had continues feuds in the past which allot of WWE fans have grown tired of. The reason why there’s multiple talent in the WWE is to show them off, and when you keep scheduling the same guys over and over again, it gets to be repetitive and non eventful. We’ve seen what both Orton and Cena can do and frankly there’s not much more they can do to give us that “WOW” factor, other then putting themselves through tables continuously. I would say hitting each other with chairs against the head, but I forgot that’s a big No-No now in the WWE. You hit someone in the head with a chair and you get fined.. Goddamn PG ERA!!!

Triple H has been claiming that this is a “Once in a lifetime match”,”1st ever”. So pretty much saying that the other unification matches in the past were nothing in his opinion. Sorry Jericho who was the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champion beating both The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the same night. This isn’t a first in the history, and I find it kind of offensive that the WWE would believe that the audience don’t know any better. Yes, this is a first where both titles are hanging and are contended in a TLC match. But no, this is not the first unification match for both championship belts. We don’t live in holes WWE!!

One interesting thing I have found is that Chris Jericho has never been mentioned as being the Undisputed Champion by Triple H or any other segment building up to this match. This is why I am drawing a conclusion that Jericho, who likes to make surprise returns; will interfere in the TLC unification match and grab the titles himself. Claiming that he took the belts to make a point for not ever, EEEEVVVVEEERRR being mentioned as the first ever Undisputed Champion. I don’t know, that is what I want, but I know the WWE has claimed that there “must be a winner” so I am not too sure if Jericho will interfere. Though It would make for great TV and a great surprise.

Anyways, all we have to do now is wait for this Sunday and see what comes from the Unification match between Orton and Cena.

Who do you think will win?

Verbal Fights Backstage After Raws Ascension Cermony

“eWrestlingNews.com spoke with a source backstage at RAW on Monday night in Seattle that informed us that there was some incredible turmoil as a result of the main event segment on the show.

Apparently the top management figures in the company were very upset over the crowd reaction during “The Ascension” segment featuring many past WWE and World Champions that closed out the show. While WWE expected Daniel Bryan to be more over than usual due to his Washington-based roots, they were caught off guard by the way the crowd hijacked the featured segment of the evening, one that was designed as the final “hard sell” for Sunday’s TLC pay-per-view.

There is said to be some backstage heat on several guys, including John Cena and CM Punk. Punk and Randy Orton apparently had words, while Cena was in trouble for going completely off-script during his promo on Orton.

As one source told eWrestlingNews.com, “Orton was extremely pissed and threw a fit backstage, and things are not looking good.” The source added, “It was completely out of control near the gorilla position immediately after the show went off the air.” This was obviously a result of Cena’s harsh comments towards him during the TLC “go-home” promo for their title unification match this Sunday.

Additionally, WWE Hall Of Famer Bret “The Hitman” Hart was upset at the “Montreal Screwjob” reference made by Orton during his promo. While Orton’s comments about the infamous Survivor Series incident were apparently scripted, Hart was not informed ahead of time that they were coming.

As far as Punk is concerned, eWrestlingNews.com is hearing that “The Best In The World” is again seriously contemplating retirement (See article here), or simply parting ways with WWE. As noted in the past, Punk is dealing with a number of injuries and is generally unhappy with the direction WWE is currently headed. Punk is known to be “moody” at times and whether or not this is another example of that, or the real deal this time, remains to be seen.”

Hello my Fello War Gods!

Let my mind bring you the following Spoilers from this upcoming Smackdown.. Don’t read and complain if I ruined something for you, that’s your own problem if you didn’t read or understand the concept of the work *Spoilers*.

Thanks Arnold!

So now that that’s out of the way, lets begin!

Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan (2-on-1 Handicap)

Winner: Daniel Bryan

Bray Wyatt interfered in the match causing the Wyatt’s to become DQ’ed and allowing Bryan to take the win before the TLC PPV.

Match: The Real Americans vs. Goldust & Cody Rhodes (Non Title Match)

Winners: The Real Americans

The Rhodes brothers have been pinned by The Real Americans and Rybaxel (Horrible name for Curtis Axel and Ryback) in the last few weeks. I’m wondering if at TLC they’ll do a three way Tag Team Championship TLC match.. That would be awesome but, that may not happen.

Promo: Bad News Barrett has another Promo where he talks about the Slammy’s this past Raw.

Match: Mark Henry vs. Damien Sandow

Winner: Mark Henry

Mark Henry wins by count out. Whats wrong Damien too strong for you?

Match: AJ Lee & Tamina vs. The Bella Twins

Winners: AJ & Tamina

Just as a side note, I’m still surprised that the Bella’s won Diva of the year.. Like honestly, did they win because they like flapping their men’s dicks in our faces? And another thing, it’s DIVA of the year, not DIVA’S.. Something is wrong with this world..

Promo: John Cena cuts a in-ring promo for his upcoming match at TLC against Randy Orton. Cena is sure that he’ll get put through a table this Sunday, but he’ll still get up and become the official WWE Unified Champion..  SAME SHIT DIFFERENT DAY!

images (1)

Match: Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns vs. The Usos

Winners: The Shield

Match: Big Show vs. Ryback

Winner: Big Show

After the match ended Big Show and Rey Mysterio beat up Curtis Axel who was at ringside.

Match: Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio

Winner: Kofi Kingston

After the match Miz attacks Kofi finishing it off with his Skull Crushing Finale.

Promo: Randy comes out to the ring and apologizes to Triple H for what happened this past Raw when he accidentally ran into Stephanie McMahon. Triple H comes out to the ring and accepts his apology to end the show……

Really, that’s how the show ends? Wow, not much heat or anything going into TLC. WWE had a great ending to Raw and just gave up on Smackdown. Way to go guys, grade A writing.

“Orton: I’m Sorry”

“Triple H: We’re Good.. ”

End of Show

I’ll post my TLC predictions soon, not that they’ll be accurate but there’s always a chance for my predictions to one day be bang-on.. Just like there will hopefully be a chance where doctors learn how to remove voice boxes from cats effectively… Geez’s I get it, you guys are hungry.. Having three cats meow at the same time is worse then nails on a chalk board..

Welcome my War Gods to the Annual Slammy Award Ceremony. You can see all the results here on WWE.com.

Personally I don’t care for the Slammies that much just because I would prefer to watch wrestling. But I know the WWE, and if the Slammies weren’t here then they would find some other thing to waste time with.. But whatever, let’s see what the last Raw before TLC gives us! It better be good is all I have to say or I’ll revolt..

Let’s begin the award winning verbal massacre, god I wish there was a Slammy for verbal assaults. I would so win and celebrate with all my friends!

szwo4g

Ummmm…. Maybe not that trophy…. Definitely not that trophy….I’ll accept a hand shake though… Definitely a hand shake..

Ok, so i’m an idiot.. I forgot my laptops charge wire at work so it definitely will not last for the night.. I am so sorry my war gods but I will have to finish this recap tomorrow.. Don’t you hate when you do something stupid? I wanna hit myself sometimes! Geez!!

Huh, that works..

UPDATE: Alrighty I’m back at work with a full charge! So considering the WWE has posted the video’s from last night i’ll just use those. It will be much easier then typing away from memory or video recaps.. Let the viewing begin! I’ll post the Slammy winners after the action.

There was a Punk vs. Dean Ambrose match but for some reason it was not posted, odd. Anyways CM Punk won that match after Dean told the rest of the Shield to head to the back cause he got it.. Immediately after he sent them back, Punk pinned Dean for the 1..2..3!

Early Retirement?

20130617_RAW_DelRio_Promo_2

Is early retirement approaching for both Alberto Del Rio and CM Punk?

Word has it that Punk and Del Rio may retire in the next coming years.

For CM Punk his injuries are adding up. During this past Smackdowns taping, CM Punk was sick and bruised up for his match against Dean Ambrose. There has been concerns over Punks health backstage, and it didn’t help when he tweeted that he sustained “Bruised Ribs” at the hands of Roman Reigns on last weeks episode of Raw.

In addition there has been rumors that he also sustained a back injury on Raw sometime last month, which adds to his continuing growing pains.. And no I don’t mean the Shield…

There has been talk about Punk retiring in the next few years and Punk has claimed that he “Does’t want to hang around longer than he should and only has two or three years left”.

But another wrestler is also following in his footsteps. Alberto Del Rio who is also planning on retiring within two or three years. No additional information has come out regarding Del Rio, but it’s a thought that is crossing his mind.

Breaking News!! Aj Styles leaving TNA!! (Update)

AJ-Styles-TNA

UPDATE:

AJ Styles recent post teased a leave?

ORIGINAL:

TNA, a wrestling brand that hasn’t caught, nor kept my attention since its debut is losing one of their top talents. Reports has it that the TNA original will be leaving due to finance issues which TNA can not keep up with.

AJ Styles was on of the original TNA performers since the company formed back in 2002. Styles had a contract extention this past October with TNA which ends on the 16th of this month (December); in which afterwards he will be a free agent. He has began taking independent bookings and has starting wrestling in the indie unit again.

The reports coming from TNA and Styles is that they couldn’t come to terms on money agreement. TNA has been cutting cost in with the company trying to make ends meet, AJ Styles didn’t agree on the amount they wanted to pay him. With the growing gap coming between company and performer. AJ believes that he is a bigger part of the company and therefor wouldn’t agree to a smaller amount of money to satify the companies pocketbooks.

Now that Styles is leaving, it portraits a negative impact to the other TNA originals who themselves have deals and contracts coming up. If TNA cannot meet the talents requirements the originals may leave TNA leaving them in a bad and diying state.

As each day passes, TNA looks to be slowly and painfully closing it’s doors.

Smackdown Recap Dec.6.2013 w/ Video

WWE Story Progression Issues & Problems! WWE FAILING!

tireball.com_

Smackdowns main event planned under 24 hours?

Usually the WWE should have Raw and Smackdown planned out prior to the shows start, or even weeks ahead of time; but this isn’t a perfect world and obviously that doesn’t happen. Apparently there is so many problems with the creative development team that Smackdowns main event gets planned out during Raw, under 24 hours before Smackdown even begins!!

A new report states that plans for Smackdown are usually decided late Monday afternoons once Raw begins, and that both Vince and Triple H don’t begin talking about Smackdown until then. Remember Smackdown gets tapped on Tuesday which means that leaves under 24 hours for a full shows development.

About 6-7 pm on Monday, Vincent Kennedy McMahon will ask the writing staff for a main event for Smackdown which can be promoted on Raw, which leaves them scrambling to develop ideas for a big, promotional match. This is the main reason why matches on both Main Event and Smackdown which are advertised on Raw, often change.

Whats on the Mind Of Carnage?

This lack of readiness is surprising from a multi-billion dollar company such as the WWE. Stories should be set in stone weeks prior to the shows start and feuds should be worked out from beginning to end; with the understanding that things may change half way through, but the writers should have a contingency plan if that’s the case. Its not that difficult to take two guys, two teams, or two anything and create a captivating feud.  The WWE usually looks for writers with multiple years of experience, but no matter how many years of experience you have; if Vince wants something changed or edited he’ll wait until the last minute and change anything, or everything on a whim.  The writers should develop a system in which this doesn’t happen and stand against management when they want something changed immediately. I know it would be difficult but a story progression in the WWE should stem from a past feud, or guys with similar fighting styles that would make for a great match.

Feud setup could be easily described if a system were implemented:

1 – What Superstars will be involved in this feud?

2 – What actions will this feud stem from?

3 – How long will this feud last?

a) Start off slow, and if the feud gets allot of audience attention, transition to a longer progression.

4 – What and Who will be the breaking point?

5 – When and how will this feud be climaxed

6 – When shall this feud end and with what outcome.

This is the building blocks for a feud setup. Now granted i’m no expert but I’ve watched allot of wrestling in my time to understand and see the pattern that story development takes. Identify the most important aspects that will make this feud, and fill in the smaller segments that will reach those important aspects.

Story/ Character development doesn’t come easy when last minute changes occur, and this is the one reason why WWE story lines have taken a dramatic turn for the worst. With no consistency or care to identify talents worth show-casing I don’t see the WWE wowing any of us anytime soon.

I personally want to start developing my own stories with the WWE talents and seeing if a typed story development would get more reaction then the WWE’s on-air story development.

Let me know your opinion on the creative team and if you would like to see me begin writing my own stories with WWE talents or just develop my own.

Thank you for reading whats on my mind!

Carnage out!
