MOC Live Raw Recap

I probably won’t do any match details as I’m just so tired for some reason… wow, this is going to be an interesting night. LOL

VIDEO: Raw kicks off with a video recap from last week’s Raw, with the closing segment featuring Mick Foley, Stephanie McMahon Triple H and Seth Rollins.

OPENER: Raw kicks off with Mick Foley making his entrance to the ring. Mick gets on the mic and gets greeted with a loud Foley chant. He pulls a letter out and begins reading it saying that he’s humbled and been honored to call himself the GM or Raw for the last 9 months. He thanks Triple H and Stephanie McMahon for giving him the opportunity. He continues reading saying how he put that opportunity in jeopardy when he put Mr.Socko in Triple H’s mouth, and apologizes for it. He continues saying that he doesn’t want his action distracting people from Wrestlemania. For the good or WWE, Raw and WrestleMania, Mick Foley announces that he will take a leave of absence effective immediately.

Accidentally gets naked photo of Brad Maddox

He shows the index cards to the audience and rips them up. He says that he would say whatever he wants to say and tries to put down Triple H and Stephanie, but his mic keeps cutting in and out. Stephanie McMahon’s music hits and she comes out.

Stephanie gets in the ring and mocks Mick’s mic not working. She reminds him of his actions last week and gave him a golden opportunity to give a proper farewell address. The reason he need index cards is because she claims, Mick forgets everything. Him returning to WWE was always about him wanting to be liked by the WWE audience, and doesn’t care about what’s best for business.  Stephanie says she’ll do what’s best for business and fires Mick Foley right in the middle of the ring.

Mick doesn’t say anything and begins walking out, but gets stopped by Sami Zayn who’s entrance music hits. Sami gets on the mic and says that what Stephanie is doing to Mick is wrong, just like all of her decisions as of late. Stephanie thanks him and asks him to help his broken down mentor to the back. Foley asks Sami to just walk away. Foley gets off the apron and begins limping up the ramp. Sami doesn’t follow and says that Foley has shown more class and integrity in the 9 months on Raw, than Stephanie has in her whole life. Sami says Stephanie should be ashamed of herself. Stephanie mocks Sami and says he’s not on the level to come out and questions Stephanie’s integrity, or even speak to Stephanie at all and asks him to go to the back and think about how to make it up to her.

Saddened to hear he won’t get much from his tax return

Sami appears to walk out, but stops and says that he doesn’t want to do the smart thing, but the right thing. He was about to threaten her, but Samoa Joe’s music hits and he makes his way out. As Joe walks to the ring, Stephanie stops him and says she got it. She asks for Foley to leave and makes a match pinning Sami Zayn against Samoa Joe.

Even before the match could behind Sami runs from the ring and lands on Joe on the outside leading us into commercials.

Sami Zayn vs. Samoa Joe
Singles Match

Both men deliver an intense and aggressive start to the match with Samoa Joe holding a majority of the offence. Sami would get some offence near the ending of the match and even bust Joe open mildly after he gets thrown into the ring post. Joe would eventually lock in the Coquina Clutch and Zayn would have no choice but to tap out.

Winner: Samoa Joe

ANNOUNCERS: They announce that throughout the night they will show highlights of the ever growing feud between Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. They show one from the Royal Rumble.

We also will get an update on Rollins condition following the attack from Triple H last week.

Triple H… never found his shirt.

BACKSTAGE: Mick Foley talking to Sami Zayn and saying how he appreciates what Sami did out there. Sami says that Raw needs Mick. Mick says that Raw needs Sami not him. He hugs him and says to hold the fort down. Sami thanks him and appreciates meeting him.

Mick walks and runs into Cesaro and Sheamus who both hug him. They thank him for giving them a chance. Foley is proud of them and continues to walk. He meets some 205 live talents in the back and shakes their hands. He would eventually run into Bayley and gives her a big hug. Triple H would meet him as well, and just say “have a nice day!”

Mick Foley walks out and leaves the Raw arena.

ANNOUNCERS: They recap last week when Seth Rollins returned to Raw and confronted Triple H.

The reveal that Rollins is back in Birmingham, AL doing rehab on his knee.

They interview Kevin Wilk, who is helping Seth in his rehabilitation. He says Rollins is progressing well and has come a long way, but he did re-aggravate the injury last week. He claims that Rollins will need several months to be cleared to compete. But Rollins is very motivated to compete and if he does compete, they’ll probably be seeing him the next day with more rehabilitation.

I’m a doctor…

Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke
Singles match

Dana would go on the attack right away and to my surprise would control the majority of the match. The ending would come quickly as Charlotte hits a big boot and pins Dana for the win.

Winner: Charlotte

BACKSTAGE: Stephanie McMahon is walking backstage and runs in Bayley who looks sad. Stephanie offers a hug to make her feel better. Bayley says she doesn’t need one and says that she once look up to Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie stops her and says that it takes a strong women to run a brand, and it takes a strong women to be champion, which Bayley isn’t showing as of late. Stephanie makes a rematch from last week against Nia Jax and says that if Nia wins, she gets added to the WrestleMania Women’s Championship match making it a fatal-4-way.

Bayley, your hairs not even..

HIGHLIGHT REEL: Jericho comes out to a great ovation and begins by saying that the Brooklyn audience is loud tonight. He says that his guest tonight is the “real” Kevin Owens. He says that he doesn’t need Owens as he has a lot of friends and calls the audience “friends of Jericho”… “Cheer me onnnnn maaaannnnnn!”

I have friends!

Jericho continues saying that Owens isn’t a hit-man, and shows an image of a 16 year old Owens with a Y2J shirt. Jericho says that Owens doesn’t look like a prize fighter, and says that he was marking out man! Jericho now goes to 2014 when Owens was signed to the WWE and reached out to his idol, Chris Jericho. He shows a DM on Twitter when Owens asked him for advise.

Jericho would continue saying that Owens is always nervous, intimidates and kind of scared, of Jericho. Jericho calls himself the hero and idol for Owens and when they meet up at WrestleMania, Owens will transfer back to the 16 year old nerd wearing a Y2J shirt realizing what Owens has gotten himself into. Jericho hypes himself up as the Greatest of all time and says that at WrestleMania he will make Owens hurt more, than costing him the Universal Championship as Fastlane. Jericho would then tease about adding Kevin Owens to the List of Jericho, but wouldn’t be able to as Samoa Joe begins walking out.

Look at those… letters…

Jericho gets distracted allowing Kevin Owens to come from behind and attack Jericho in the ring. Owens would hit the pop-up powerbomb on Jericho and proceed to rip up the famous list of Jericho. Owens would walk out leaving Jericho laying in the ring.

TJ Perkins vs. Brian Kendrick
Singles Match

Match didn’t last too long. TJ would take the attack quickly, but a quick distraction allows Brian to hit his Sliced Bread #2 and pin for the 2 count.

Winner: Brian Kendrick

After the match Brian would get on the mic asking for Akira Tozawa. Brian would say that he’s a sitting duck, but Akira isn’t even in the country. He would then pull out Akira’s passport saying that he needs it to travel back to the USA. He teaches him another lesson to not leave stuff laying around backstage.

I have your passport!

Personally, I would think you would need a passport to leave the country as well… so ya.

ANNOUNCERS: They recap HBK’s appearance last week warning Roman Reigns. Here’s a reminder:

ANNOUNCERS: They recap the growing feud between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. leading to WrestleMania 33.

BACKSTAGE: Sheamus and Cesaro are talking backstage as Stephanie comes walking in saying that two men who once hated eachother are great friends. Stephanie says that Cesaro & Sheamus need to battle for their Wrestlemania spots again competing in a 4 on 2 Handicap match against Luke Gallows, Karl Anderon, Enzo and Cass. If they lose, they lose their WM spot.

Bayley (c) vs. Nia Jax
-If Nia Jax Wins She Gets Entered Into The Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania 33-
Non-Title No DQ Singles match

Nia would bring the attack early on with Bayley getting in minor offence where ever she can. But the momentum would shift once Nia smashes Bayley face-first against the ring apron. Both Charlotte & Sasha would watch from the backstage area.

Nia would generally hold the momentum in this match smashing Bayley against the barricade over and over again by the hair. Nia would grab a chair but Bayley would kick it away. Both would go back and forth a bit more, with Nia hitting the Samoan Drop and getting the 3 count win.

Winner: Nia Jax (enters the Raw Women’s Match at WrestleMania 33)

ANNOUNCERS: They remember Mae Young in celebration of March being Women’s History month. They run a video package of her amazing career.

IN RING: Michael Cole is in the ring, and introduces Triple H as being the man who made Seth Rollins WrestleMania status questionable.

Both men take a seat in the seats provided. Michael Cole asks about the news about the diagnosis of Seth Rollins heard earlier tonight. Triple H says he’s disappointing and says he wanted this match with Rollins at WrestleMania. He considered himself in the best shape in his life and that he was looking forward to it. He claims that it’s not his fault Rollins is injured, it’s Rollins fault for listening to the audience themselves. He continues saying that people like Rollins need the audience to justify that he’s good. Triple H says he never needed that, though some guys in the back need to audience to justify that they are good. Triple H says that Foley’s potato chip ear, his wobble was all done because of the audience.

Your fault

He recaps when Rollins threw his crutch on the floor last week during Raw and the audience went crazy for it, another example when the audience’s cheering cost a talent his health. They show a video recap from the attack last week.

After the video, Triple H tells the audience “that’s on you, it’s your fault.” Cole goes back about a year when Triple H took Rollins under his wing. Triple H said that he saw potential in Rollins and gave him the blueprint to make it in the business. But when no one was there to pick up Rollins when he was down, Rollins cried. Triple H was the crutch that took Rollins to the top of the mountain. He find it funny how the crutch [Triple H] actually picked up a physical crutch and beat him up with it. Triple H says that he is officially done with Seth Rollins. Triple H pulls out an envelope and hands it to Cole saying that it’s a few tickets for the nose-bleeds so Rollins can feel the roar of the crowd.

Triple H looks like he would leave but then questions it. He asks for the envelope back and says that there may be a way he could fight Rollins at WrestleMania. Triple H says that he could draw up a non-sanctioned match at Wrestlemania so when Triple H leaves him hopeless, he couldn’t sue the WWE or Triple H’s family. Triple H asks the audience if that’s what they want, and tells Seth to show them that he is in deed Seth “freaking” Rollins, or just a freaking coward.

Cesaro & Sheamus vs. Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson (c) & Big Cass/ Enzo
-If Sheamus & Cesaro lose, they lose their spot at Wrestlemania 33-
Handicap Tag Team Match

Enzo and Cass would deliver their promo agreeing that they would try and cost Sheamus and Cesaro their match at WrestleMania 33. Before the match could begin, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows would take out their partners, Enzo and Cass. The match would start and Sheamus and Cesaro would take advantage quickly and take out Karl Anderson after Cass attacks Gallows on the apron picking up the pinfall victory.

Winners: Sheamus & Cesaro (remain in WrestleMania 33)

After the match Enzo hits the Badda-Boom-Shakka-Lakka on Karl in the ring.

BACKSTAGE: New Day are in the back to deliver a hype promo about their hosting spot at WrestleMania 33. Before the promo begins Big E and Kofi look at Xavier with Big E saying “So is there something you want to tell us?” Xavier would begin saying that he’s looking forward to Roman Reigns & Undertaker. They begin listing all the matches for the big event and end it with a “New Day Rocks” chant.

Austin Aries vs. Tony Nese
Singles Match

These two put on a great quick paced match with the momentum split between the two. The win would come when Aries hits a missile dropkick and delivers it up with a running forearm smash and a discus forearm.

Winner: Austin Aries

After the match Neville comes out to the stage area and threatens that he could come to the ring and obliterate Aries just as he’s done to the rest of the Cruiserweight division. But Neville says that Aries is no threat to the King, and that Aries out of control ego will make Neville’s win at WrestleMania that much more satisfying. Aries says that everyone hears the words coming out of his mouth, but what Aries sees in Neville’s eyes is the fear of stepping in the ring with Aries who is above Neville’s level.

VIDEO: Another Emma video package with… you guessed it a “coming soon” HA!

ANNOUNCERS: Goldberg and Brock Lesnar will be live on Raw next week as the go-home show for Wrestlemania 33.

BACKSTAGE: Braun is interviewed backstage and pretty much just says that he’ll destroy Roman Reigns tonight.

Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman
Singles Match

As the match begins, Roman Reigns goes on the attack quickly throwing several punches. Braun tries to fight him off but Roman keeps coming back and takes Braun to the outside. Roman tries for the drive-by, but Braun stops by a massive clothesline. Reigns gets to his feet but Braun hits a spinebuster picking up a 2 count. Braun goes on the attack and throws Roman chest first into the corner turnbuckle.

Braun would lock in a choke, but Roman fights out and manages to land a few clotheslines. He tries for a Samoan drop but Brauns size is too much as he lays him out with a running clothesline. Braun tries for a running spear in the corner but Roman moves out of the way taking Braun into the post. Roman would get the momentum behind him and manage to pick up Braun slowly and hitting the Samoan drop. Braun rolls to the outside and Roman hits the drive-by. Roman tries to continue to attack but Braun throws him against the steps. He throws one layer of the steps in the ring and tosses Reigns back in.

Braun picks up the steps but Reigns stops him with the superman punch. He tries for another but Braun catches him. He tries for the powerslam, but Roman breaks out. He hits another superman punch and sets up for the spear. But as he calls for it, the gong goes off, and the lights go black. When they come back on, The Undertaker is standing in the middle of the ring between Reigns and Braun.

Undertaker stands starring as an “Undertaker” chant begins. Braun tries to go for Taker, but he catches him and hits a choke slam. As Taker turns around Roman hits him with a quick spear.

Winner: No Contest

Roman would leave the ring and begin walking up the ramp, as in the ring Undertaker sits up and gets up on his feet. Taker slices his throat and the gong goes off again.

We end Raw with a stare down between the two men.

Any highlights not uploaded as of yet will be uploaded tomorrow.

Welcome everyone to tonight’s WWE Raw recap brought to you by, me… how wonderful. Make sure to keep refreshing this page for the latest details. You can also follow me on Twitter @MindofCarnage.

Images from tonight’s show will be sourced from @WWE on twitter.

Interesting to note that tonight’s Raw from the Joe Louis Arena will be the final show held at this venue, as it will be demolished shorty after.

RAW

VIDEO: Raw begins with a video package recapping last week’s Raw when Lesnar attacked Goldberg.

OPENER: Raw kicks off with both Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar making their way to the ring. A “suplex city” chant begins and Heyman gets on his knees unable to contemplate that dream of Lesnar F5ing Goldberg last week on Raw. Heyman hypes WrestleMania 33 where Goldberg and Lesnar will go 1-on-1 for the universal championship, and where the term “down goes Goldberg” will be screamed by the announcers. The fans begin a Goldberg chant, and Heyman tries to introduce him, but says that he’s not there tonight. Heyman tells the people who chanted for Goldberg to “shut the hell up.”

Heyman continues saying how his client has had problems with Goldberg in the form of Spear, Jackhammer, Goldberg. But last week was different as Lesnar delivered an F5, and Down goes Goldberg! Heyman hypes Lesnar and says that the resurrection of Goldberg will be put down. Where the comeback of a champion [Goldberg] will be put down. Heyman ends his promo saying that 1 F5 means Lesnar goes up, and down goes Goldberg!

Both Heyman and Lesnar walk off.

BACKSTAGE: Mick Foley is starring at the TV as Stephanie walks in calling Heyman creepy. Stephanie says that there’s been pressure between them and feel it’s the pressure leading to WrestleMania. Stephanie says she hired Mick as the Raw GM because of how he connects to the fans and talents, but there are areas of expertise that Mick needs to improve on. Stephanie is willing to teach Foley some business expertise and asks if he’s in, which Foley accepts. Stephanie says that by the end of the night, Stephanie wants Mick to scour the Raw roster and find a talent… to fire.. Stephanie wants Mick to think like a business person and not with his heart. Dim the roster of the weak talents and claim overhead for the business. She gives him by the end of the night, in which Foley reluctantly accepts.

MOC: based on reports, after that segment some fans began chanting “Fire Roman Reigns” and “Fire Goldberg.” Savage!

Sasha Banks (w/ Bayley) vs. Dana Brooke (w/ Charlotte)
Singles match

Before Raw began, Charlotte demanded that Dana take Sasha Banks  out heading into WrestleMania 33. But that didn’t happen as Sasha pinned Dana with a roll-up in about 2 minutes.

Winner: Sasha Banks

Following the match Charlotte grabs a mic and climbs into the ring calling Dana a disgrace. She says Dana doesn’t deserve being by her side and is finally getting rid of Dana… But before Charlotte could talk some more Dana begins attacking Charlotte. Charlotte would eventually roll out and walk away surprised by Dana’s actions.

ANNOUNCERS: They hype the upcoming Hall of Fame and announce this years inductee for the 2017 Warrior Award which is Eric LeGrand. LeGrand would suffer a spinal injury during a game in 2010. LeGrand was paralyses but has been able to regain movement in his shoulders, legs and even breath on his own. LeGrand has been helping others suffering from spinal injury and even raising money for treatment for spinal injuries. LeGrand will be inducted into the HOF by Dana Warrior.

See his video package here.

TJ Perkins & Akira Tozawa vs. Brian Kendrick & Tony Nese
Tag Team Match

Overall very quick paced match with Nese and Kendrick working Akira for a majority of the match, but the pace changed one TJ got the hot tag and landed a hard dropkick to Nese’ face. He connects a face smash and pins. Kendrick tries to break it but hits Nese instead. TJ takes out Kendrick and Nese lands a hard clothesline on TJ and pins for a close 2 count. Nese tries for another attack but TJ pushes him away, climbs to the second rope and hits a jumping DDT for yet another 2 count. TJ tries for his finisher but Kendrick tries to interrupt Akira kicks him off the apron. Nese though, pushes TJ into Akira taking him to the outside and rolls TJ for the 3 count win.

Winners: Brian Kendrick & Tony Nese

BACKSTAGE: Anderson and Gallows get interviewed in the back for the upcoming #1 contenders match between Cesaro/Sheamus & Cass /Enzo. Anderson says that everyone wants to talk about other teams other than the Raw tag team champions. They claim that the spotlight should be theirs. If no one wants to give it to them, then they’ll just take it.

Kevin Owens & Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn & Chris Jericho (c)
Tag Team Match

Before the other entrants could come out, Owens delivered a promo under the spotlight saying that he took the spotlight and put it back where it belongs [referencing his attack on Jericho on Raw.] Owens says he was never Jericho’s best-friend, but in all reality Jericho never truly considered Owens as his best-friend either. Owens claims that all Jericho was trying to do was get close to his Universal Championship. Owens says that he managed to stab Jericho in the back, before Jericho could back-stab him. Owens says that Jericho beat him at Fastlane, not Goldberg. At Wrestlemania 33 Owens will take The United States Championship just like Jericho took his. Owens says that only thing left of Y2J will be the tears of Jericho [CRY IT OUT MAAAAN.] Owens says that Sami and Jericho will learn a lesson tonight. Who needs best friends, when you have a destroyer, Samoa Joe enters the arena.

When the match finally begins Jericho tries to go on the attack quickly, but Joe counters landing a quick knee and a senton splash. He takes Jericho in the corner but Jericho counters and hits a missile dropkick and tags in Sami Zayn. Joe delivers a hard slap to the chest and tries for a running move, but Sami counters with a head scissor take down. Joe manages to come back and takes Sami into the corner and hits his quick head kick. Owens tags in and pins Sami mocking Jericho. Owens lands a superkick to Jericho on the apron and goes on the attack again. Sami manages to fight back against Joe and Owens and takes them both to the outside. Sami runs the ropes and his a springboard body splash on both Joe and Owens. As he landed Sami grabs his knee as if he hard on it.

Sami takes Joe into the ring, but from behind Owens attacks Sami’s leg. Both Owens and Joe beat on Sami until the ref has had enough and calls for the bell.

Winners: Sami Zayn and Chris Jericho via DQ

After the match Jericho tries to stop them, but in the end the same things happens with him with Owens and Joe double teaming him. Owens hits his Pop-up Powerbomb as the refs surround them to break it up.

BACKSTAGE: Stephanie is backstage trying to help Mick pick a name to fire from the roster. Stephanie recommends Sami Zayn but Mick seems to not agree. Nia Jax walks in and shares her frustration that Sasha has a triple threat match at WrestleMania and Nia has nothing. Stephanie says that Nia does deserve the spotlight and makes a match pinning Nia against Bayley.

BACKSTAGE: Mick Foley is walking in the back as Jinder Mahal walks in and says that he’s a main event player and that he wants a chance to prove himself. Mick agrees and says that he’ll face Roman Reigns tonight.

BACKSTAGE: New Day is backstage hyping their hosting gig coming up at WrestleMania 33, and debut their new Raw show called New Day Talks. They introduce their first guest; The Big Show. They hype the Andre The Giant Battle Royal and the possibility of Big Show being the first ever two time winner of the battle royal. New Day ask Show a few questions about his upcoming Jetsons movie set to be released soon. Eventually Titus O’Neil walks in blowing his whistle and says that no-one cares about being on this New Day Talks show. Titus gets in the face of Big Show and asks why he’s not on the Jetson’s movie and pushed him in frustration.

Enzo Amore & Big Cass vs. Cesaro & Sheamus
#1 Contenders Match For the Raw Tag Team Championship
Tag Team Match

Enzo and Cass perform their usual long promo entrance hyping themselves as the challengers for the Raw tag team champions and that they will be heading to WrestleMania.

Cesaro and Sheamus kick off the match aggressively trying to wear down Big Cass. Both teams go back and forth until they get in each-others faces and we cut to commercials.

When we return both Cesaro and Sheamus are double teaming Enzo and are keeping him in their half of the ring. Enzo tries a few times to get a tag but Sheamus and Cesaro mange to stop him. But Enzo would eventually tag out and Cass comes in hot taking out Cesaro with a big boot, fall-away slam and a corner clothesline. Sheamus gets a blind tag and tries to take out Cass, but he manages to fight back and big boots Sheamus to the outside. The momentum in Cass’ boot also takes himself to the outside.

While on the outside Gallows and Anderson make their way through the audience and attacks Sheamus & Cass making the ref call for the bell.

Winners: No Contest

The Club manage to take out both Cass and Sheamus. Cesaro tries to fight them, but gets beaten up by the Club.  Enzo gets a big boot on the apron and the Club hits the Magic Killer to leave both teams laid out.

MOC: So I take it this means, it will be a triple threat match at Mania for the Raw tag titles… That’s no surprise.

VIDEO: The announcers show a recap from last week when Braun calls out Roman, but instead got the Undertaker. Braun would back away but Roman would meet Taker in the ring and get a chokeslam for it. Roman Reigns is shown in the back preparing for his upcoming match with Jinder Mahal.

BACKSTAGE: The Club is shown backstage as Mick comes in saying that he’s tempted to fire both Anderson and Gallows but instead of that he’s making the Raw tag team match at WrestleMania a Triple Threat match. No surprise…

Roman Reigns vs. Jinder Mahal
Singles Match

Jinder would get in some offence until Roman begins his beat down in the corner. But as Roman was delivering his corner clotheslines, a gong can be heard. This distracts Roman allowing Jinder to hit a running knee, and a power-slam. Jinder pins but gets a close 2 count. Jinder continues his attack landing a hard dropkick and beats on Roman in the corner. Roman would eventually explode out of the corner and hits the Superman Punch. Roman lifts Jinder back to his feet and hits another Superman punch. Roman pins and gets the 3 count victory.

Winner: Roman Reigns

Following the match Roman would get on the mic and calls out the Undertaker, but before Taker can answer we cut to commercials.

When we come back, Roman is still pacing waiting for Taker, but instead of Taker to our surprise Shawn Michaels comes out. Roman says that it’s cool to see HBK, and that Detroit love him, but Roman isn’t sorry because he didn’t call out HBK, but the Undertaker. Shawn says that he saw what happened last week, and what happened a few minutes ago with the gong. Shawn says that Roman is distracted and not focused and come WrestleMania Shawn claims that Taker will eat Roman Reigns alive.

Roman isn’t concerned about being in the ring with Taker, Taker should be concerned about being in the ring with him. Shawn says that he can acknowledge that the ring is Roman’s yard, but he’s Mr. WrestleMania. Shawn knows the pressure and weight of the company on your shoulders and people secretly wanting you to fail. Shawn says he’s on Roman’s side and that he needs to get prepared. Roman says that the Undertaker retired Shawn and that he’s the guy that will retire the Undertaker.

Roman drops the mic and walks off. As Roman walks up the ramp and looks back at the ring, Braun Strowman runs in and clotheslines him throwing him right off the ramp and sandwiched between the ramp and barricade.

BACKSTAGE: Stephanie and Mick are watching the monitor in the back and Stephanie is happy about the intensity of Braun. Mick seems distraught and asks if Stephanie McMahon could have a change of opinion. Stephanie says that this will raise Mick as a leader and will raise competition in the locker-room. Jericho says that he will get his revenge at WrestleMania, and that he will show people the true Kevin Owens. Jericho is bringing back the highlight reel next week on Raw, when he interviews the REAL KEVIN OWENS!

Bayley (c) vs. Nia Jax
Non-Title Singles Match

Once the match begins, Bayley tries for a neck lock but Nia keeps pushing her away. They clinch, but that doesn’t help as Nia just throws Bayley to the outside. Nia lands a headbutt and rolls her back into the ring. Bayley connects a few kicks to the head from the ring, but Nia doesn’t like that and kicks the steel steps on the outside out of frustration taking us to commercials.

When we come back from commercials Nia Jax pretty much has the advantage over Bayley bending her over backwards over her knee. Nia lands a few kicks to Bayley’s chest allowing Bayley to counter and dropkicks Nia to the outside. Bayley tries to rally some offence, but every time Nia just powerhouses Bayley. Bayley tries to a second rope cross body, but Nia catches her. She tries for a Samoan Drop, but Bayley fights out into a choke. Again Nia fights out and throws Bayley onto the top rope throat first. Nia takes Bayley into the corner and hits a hard cross body. Nia beats on Bayley in the corner over and over again until the ref counts to 5 and calls for the bell.

Winner: Bayley via DQ.

Nia would continue the assault after the match. The ref tries to stop her, but Nia pulls Bayley to the outside and throws her against the barricade. Nia leaves Bayley reeving in pain on the outside mats.

BACKSTAGE: Mick Foley begins his walk to the ring to fire someone.

Stephanie McMahon is in the ring, and reminds the fans the opportunity she provided to Mick Foley to prove he could make the tough decisions. Stephanie McMahon wants Mick to fire someone apart of the Raw roster and introduces him to announce who he’s picked.

Mick comes out saying that he believed this assignment was cruel as he couldn’t think of a WWE superstar to fire, until a few minutes ago. Mick says that this assignment will make him a better manager and a better person. Mick says that the name he’s come up with is…. Stephanie McMahon. The audience provide a loud YES chant as Stephanie isn’t impressed. Stephanie says that that’s not in his power to fire her and demands a name. Mick says that she is the one that deserves to go. He can’t understand how she can look at talents with such little care. Mick brings up Triple H’s return when he cost Seth Rollins the Universal Championship and says that he believed in her when she said she didn’t have any part in that.

Mick continues saying how Stephanie and Triple H have been running a things around here. Mick continues, but gets stopped by Triple H’s music. Triple H makes his way out.

Triple H enters the ring smiling and says that if Mick has something to say, just say it to his face. Mick says that he didn’t realize Triple H existed, thought he was only hiding in the shadows. Triple H says that people always say that and yet no one ever looks for him. Both men go back and forth with insults. Triple H has the better of it calling Mick a “has-been” and say that it was because of Stephanie Mick came back to the WWE. But no matter what Stephanie McMahon is as much of a Business Man (women), like her father Vince McMahon taught her to be.

Mick says that unlike many talents backstage, he doesn’t need to pretend to like Triple H. Mick says that he doesn’t need Triple H, or this company but is a man who can look in the mirror and is proud who looks back. Triple H comes back saying he’s happy how he feels, and says if his children feel the same way. He references Noelle and Dewey who works for WWE in the main office, and says if they feel the same way if Mick should leave the position he was granted.

Triple H demands that Foley walk back up the ramp and have an Epiphany that when Stephanie says jump, Mick says “how high.” Mick slowly begins to walk out of the ring but stops in the corner. Triple H tries to confront him but Mick pulls out socko and begins to choke Triple H. Stephanie McMahon comes from behind and lands a low-blow. Triple H slowly takes off his coat and looks to beat on Foley.

As Triple H approaches Foley, Seth Rollins music hits and he tries to make his way out on one crutch.  He makes it to ringside, and Triple H wants him to enter the ring. Seth Rollins drops the crutch and to everyone’s surprise runs into the ring. Rollins appears to be in good shape and hits a side kick to the gut. Rollins lands a running kick to the head taking Triple H out of the ring. Triple H picks up Rollins’ crutch and runs back into the ring with it. Rollins stops him but Triple H eventually manages to hit him with the crutch directly on the knee.

Triple H removes the shirt and begins stomping on the bad knee. He locks in a reverse figure-4-lock and makes Rollins yell out in pain. The ref’s come out and break up the hold. Triple H hits him once more with the crutch in the knee and walks away smiling.

That ends tonight’s WWE Raw broadcast. Hope you guys enjoyed it. Remaining highlight should be up tomorrow.

Dasha is backstage at the Social Media Lounge and will interview Becky Lynch later. We get a look at the NEW Elimination Chamber. It looks more square, and larger. It has good square zones for jumping, above every chamber.

7:08PM: Here is what the new Chamber looks like:

7:27PM: While the kickoff show panel is underway, James Ellesworth walks into frame and says that he got him and Carmella skybox tickets. Carmella uses this as an excuse to leave the analyst desk, and takes off her microphone. Ellesworth is wearing his golden outfit that was picked out a few weeks ago. The kickoff match and the Becky Lynch interview are still to come.

7:34PM: It’s time for the Becky Lynch interview in the social media lounge with Dasha. First question is “Are you excited to disarm Mickie James?” in which Becky replied with “Yes”. “If you could tag team with anybody” was the next question, with Lynch replying “Shawn Michaels” because she could be the “Armbreak kid”. Third question was if she watched any old Mickie matches to prepare for the match. Lynch said yes and praised what James has done in the past. That wrapped up the interview.

7:41PM: Curt Hawkins vs Mojo Rawley

20170206_ec_kickoff_match_mojohawkins-d6a4117b4902136ea7a3d2cd790b2446

It’s time for our Kickoff match! The four commentators that we usually get for Smackdown Live are calling this match. This match is an odd pairing, but maybe a story could develop from this match. Let’s see. The only beef that these two have is some shots and Hawkins fired on Twitter recently. Still not sure what Hawkins’ character is. The match has a very slow pace right as it starts. 2 minutes into the match Mojo barely beats a 10 count, getting in the ring at 8. We go to a 1 minute commercial break. Slow back and forth action continues. Mojo mounts a comeback with a Stinger Splash and a stomach-first slam. Pin attempt after is kicked out. Hawkins responds with a Downward Spiral. Mojo kicks out of that move too. Mojo reverses a move that Hawkins was setting up for, and hits a running punch and slam to get the win at 8 minutes and 3 seconds.

This wraps up the pre-show coverage. The rest of the show is on the WWE Network

7:53PM: Mojo Rawley defeats Curt Hawkins (8:03)

Post Match Interview:

8:00PM: The PPV is live! It starts with an Elimination Chamber hype video. We get the cool pyro as usual, then we go to our first match, Becky Lynch vs Mickey James.

8:03PM: Becky Lynch vs Mickie James

20170206_ec_match_beckymickie-523ffa2dafbaed9d9e17f0c305ebc8e7

The two go into a tie-up at the start of the match. The tie-up continues until they both roll outside the ring. The two of them walk back into the ring and continue the match. The two fight outside the ring again just a minute later. Mickey is targeting the arms quite often early on in the match. Mickey shows lots of dominance throughout the first 5 minutes of the match. Crowd nearly silent during the mid part of this match. Becky makes a comeback 8 minutes into the match and hits the Exploder Suplex. A noticeable cut starts bleeding on Mickie’s left elbow.  Becky continues to sell her arm very well. James hits the Mick Kick and goes for the pin. Lynch kicks out. Becky makes another comeback and tries for the Disarmer. James tries to reverse into a roll up pin, but Lynch responds with a roll-up of her own to win the match. The match ends after 11 minutes of competition.

8:18PM: Becky Lynch defeats Mickie James

Highlights:

8:19PM: Dasha is in the Carmella and Ellesworth Skybox and Carmella says that the “wrong woman won” that match.

8:21PM: Apollo Crews and Kalisto vs Dolph Ziggler

20170206_ec_match_crewskalistoziggler-48307b224f357f2469d3044dcc25916e

As Kalisto makes his entrance, Ziggler throws Kalisto against the entrance wall. Kalisto is too injured to compete, and the match is now Crews vs Ziggler. Ziggler has control of the match for the first few minutes. Kalisto heals up and joins the match at the 7 minute mark. I guess it was a 2-on-1 the whole time? Apollo Crews gets the pin after 7 minutes of fighting. After the match, Ziggler continues to fight. He takes down Kalisto and Crews, and wedges a chair on one of Crews’ feet. He stomps on the ankle, and Crews sells it like murder. He decides to do it once more. Ziggler walks off and we cut to commercials.

8:36 PM: Tag Team Turmoil Match

20170131_ec_match_tagteams-974e3df539ec447ccaaae0357e945e16

It’s time for our first title match of the night, the tag team turmoil match! The tag team turmoil match starts with Heath Slater and Rhyno versus The Fashion Police, AKA Fandango and Tyler Breeze. Good back and forth action between these two teams lasts quite an amount of time. Fandango pins Heath Slater who was the illegal man in the ring. As Fandango gets up, he eats a Gore from Rhyno got eliminate the two. The Vaudevillians come out next to face Slater and Rhyno. After only a couple minutes, The Vaudevillians get eliminated by Heath Slater. The Usos are the next challengers. The Usos eliminate Heath Slater and Rhyno and American Alpha come out next. These two teams get much more time than the last two teams. Jason Jordan gets a hot tag and starts going crazy. Gable tags in as The Usos are stills fighting Jason. Chad Gable walks in the ring and gets a roll-up to eliminate The Usos. After being eliminated The Usos beat up American Alpha and they do it well. A Frogsplash onto Jason Jordan ends the brawl. The Ascension make their way to the ring once the brawl finally ends.

The Ascension try to pick the scraps but American Alpha still have some fight left in them. American Alpha make a comeback and win the match via Grand Amplitude. They retain their Tag Team Championships. I was not that interested in this match, and I found it kind of lame. Maybe this was just because I was hoping for The Revival to debut in this match.

9:00PM: American Alpha win Tag Team Turmoil

Highlights:

9:06PM: Nikki Bella vs Natalya

20170131_ec_match_natanikki-80626b027eb08f2cd5c9b7f9dbfbf656

The second out of the trio of Women’s Matches is Nikki Bella vs Natalya, and it’s the next match on the card! This match had very slow paced back and forth action. The crowd did not react to anything that was going on. Nikki Bella’s mother and brother are shown ringside during this match. Nikki Bella gets fired up after Nattie says “You can’t see me bitch”. Nikki’s comeback does not last long as Natalya regains the advantage minutes later. Later on both wrestlers trade blows on the top rope, and Natalya hits a Superplex. Nikki Bella goes for John Cena’s trademark submission move the “STF” for the second time, but Natalya escapes again. The two of them brawl outside the ring until the ref calls a double countout. The brawl outside the ring looked like blatant stalling. Before the countout, we saw Nikki make a last ditch attempt to run in the ring, but Natalya stopped her, hence the double countout. But what’s interesting is that Nikki did maybe the slowest run ever to the ring. It was painfully obvious what the finish to the match would be. After the match we get a brawl, ending with Natalya running away as the ref holds Nikki back.

9:22PM: Nikki Bella vs Natalya ends in a double countout

Highlights:

9:22PM: Carmella, still in the Skybox, says that the two who were wrestling have “Major issues’ and are out of control, and Ellesworth says the same thing

9:29PM: Randy Orton vs Luke Harper

20170206_ec_match_harperorton-0fb251a6082b318ec5fa24a508bbccde

It’s Family vs Family up next when Luke Harper faces Randy Orton! 8 minutes into the match Luke Harper does a mini-Swanton over the ropes (whatever it’s called) and a big boot to follow. Randy kicks out. Orton’s trademarked rope DDT gets reversed by Harper right after. Luke Harper further showcases his highflying with a Tope Suicida, sending Orton over the German commentary table. Harper follows that up by throwing Orton down onto the English table. Orton and Harper re-enter the ring at the 7 count. Orton reverses Harper into a very big Superplex. The first part of the match was slow, but this part really caught my attention. Minutes after the Superplex, Orton calls for an RKO. Harper gets up and nails Orton with a Superkick. A second one follows. Orton kicks out at 2 and a half. Harper goes for a Powerbomb that leads to a kickout. The crowd is very intruiged by the match at this point. Harper trying for a clothesline gets reversed into an RKO out of nowhere for the win. What a match this was! I loved it.

9:48PM: Randy Orton def. Luke Harper

Highlights:

9:52PM: A fight breaks out backstage between Natalya and Nikki Bella.

9:52PM: Naomi vs Alexa Bliss (Smackdown Women’s Championship Match)

20170131_ec_match_blissnaomi-4b8347c4d96d9b5a21cfcdb03ec4e4d4

The Women’s Championship sees a new challenger in Naomi. Will the champion Alexa Bliss still be able to call herself #1 by the end of the night? Let’s find out! Early on in the match it is apparent that Naomi is giving Alexa Bliss a run for her money. The match stays back and forth as it heads past the 10 minute mark. At one point Alexa Bliss throws a temper tantrum out of frustration. The Twisted Bliss gets reversed by Naomi putting her knees up. Naomi reverses and hits a moonsault off the turnbuckle to win the championship and become the new Smackdown Women’s champion. Even though it was a great match, it seemed like a bit of an ugly finish. Seemed like Naomi’s legs landed on Bliss’ side. Anyways, after the match Naomi gets interviewed and gives a very good, short promo. Crowd was very happy about this. This was a good quick title match. I am very happy to see Naomi as champ.

10:07PM: Naomi def. Alexa Bliss to become new Champion

Highlights:

10:07PM: Carmella gets interviewed again in the Skybox. Dasha gets immediately sent out of the Skybox because they were annoyed that they were repeatedly being interviewed.

10:14PM: It is time for the Elimination Chamber match!

20170131_ec_match_6man-3dca5a316c81aea680e0a6c3bdc5a6cd

It is time for the Elimination Chamber match! AJ Styles and John Cena will start in the ring, as the other four competitors are in chambers, awaiting their entrance. The two wrestlers trade moves for five minutes, and then the next entrant comes in. That next entrant is Dean Ambrose! Ambrose goes right after Cena. Lots of fighting happens outside the ring in the floored area. Ambrose stands above his pod and jumps down with an Elbow onto Cena. Ambrose has control for the most part, until Bray Wyatt becomes the fourth entrant. Wyatt clears house when he enters. Styles climbs up the Chamber with Cena. They climb to a part of the cage higher than the pods. They trade blows, until Cena crashes onto the ground. Styles walks over to a pod where Dean Ambrose is standing. They both bash their heads on the plexiglass on the wall above the pod. Ambrose falls off, while Styles stays resting above the pod. Bray Wyatt delivers 3 man Superplex with Ambrose and Styles involved. The next entrant comes in, being Baron Corbin. As the final entrant The Miz walks into the ring, Baron Corbin gets eliminated by Ambrose via roll-up. Out of frustration Corbin beats up Ambrose even more, throwing Ambrose THROUGH the plexiglass of one pod. The refs try their best to get Corbin out of there, but he continues the assault. Corbin hits the End of Days on Ambrose, then finally decides to leave the ring.

The Miz pins Ambrose in the middle of the ring, taking advantage of what Corbin did, eliminating Ambrose. The crowd boo’d quite a bit for that elimination. The Miz does more “YES” chants, mocking Daniel Bryan. John Cena eliminates The Miz, then tries to eliminate Styles. Styles reverses an AA into a Styles Clash. A minute later, Cena gets on top of a pod and delivers a cross body onto Bray and Styles. Bray Wyatt hits the Sister Abgail on Cena after reversing an AA, pins Cena and eliminates John Cena! This means that we will have a new champion tonight!

It’s down to two. Bray Wyatt and AJ Styles. Styles hits a Springboard 450, but Wyatt kicks out. A minute later, a Phenominal Forearm gets reversed into a Sister Abgail, for Bray Wyatt to become the newest WWE Champion! What a match this was! What a great finish to the match. Loved it.

11:02PM: Bray Wyatt wins the Elimination Chamber and becomes the WWE Champion
