WWE Provide “Injury” Update On Kalisto Following Raw

During last nights WWE Monday night Raw broadcast, Kalisto defeated Braun Strowman in a Dumpster match which only instigated a beating following the match. Braun wuld roll Kalisto off the stage area while in the dumpster and medics attended to him afterwards.

WWE has since released this article providing an update on Kalisto’s story line “injury”.

“Following Raw’s Dumpster Match, Kalisto was brutally injured by Braun Strowman and suffered hip and cervical trauma, Michael Cole reported during Raw. The luchador is currently undergoing further evaluation and observation at a local medical facility in Kansas City, Mo.

Although The King of Flight was technically victorious over Braun Strowman in Raw’s first Dumpster Match after knocking the behemoth into the bout’s titular receptacle (but not off his feet), the luchador once again suffered the wrath of The Monster Among Men following the match when he was tossed into the dumpster and hurled off the stage by the rampaging and seemingly unstoppable goliath.

It remains to be seen whether Roman Reigns will suffer a similar fate this Sunday, when he returns to battle Strowman one-on-one at WWE Payback.”

MOCLive WWE Raw Recap For April 24, 2017 – Dumpster Diving

Show: Monday Night Raw
Date: April 24, 2017
Venue: Spring Center Arena, Kansas City, MO
Author: Cade Carnage

Make sure to follow me on twitter to communicate with me live during Raw.

Following the monstrous show last week where both Braun and Big Show imploded the ring, we get some backlash tonight as Kalisto has challenged Braun Strowman to a Dumpster match…. yup, we’re going there. Pinpointing Kalisto’s career in one match. Welcome to Raw!

But nonetheless I feel this match may bring forth a returning Roman Reigns… potentially…. maybe…. or Braun’s just going to throw Kalisto around and dump him like yesterday’s trash. Which reminds me, I need to dumb yesterday’s trash.

That’s better.

Other than the dumpster match, there’ll be more Women’s title segment featuring the new #1 contender Alexa Bliss. Miz and Dean Ambrose bickering back and forth. And a lot more.

Remember to keep refreshing this page for the latest details and highlights [when available]. Also make sure to hit that follow button at the bottom of the website to stay in the know and be one of the minds of carnage!

So let the recap begin!

RAW

VIDEO: Raw kicks off with a video package of Braun’s attack on Roman Reigns two weeks back and from the attacks from last week where he fought Big Show.

OPENER: Raw kicks off with Chris Jericho making his way to the ring for the highlight reel.

Jericho welcomes everyone to a “monumental edition” of the highlight reel, as he claims it will be the last one on Monday Night Raw. He claims that he will beat Owens this Sunday at Payback to win the US title and will head to Smackdown Live. Jericho says that no matter what the audience will always be the “Friends of Jericho.” He continues saying that he needed a sexy beast for this special show, and introduces….. himself!

Jericho recaps Owens going to Smackdown Live and how he claims that he’s the “face of America” and makes fun of his looks. He calls Owens the “hemorrhoid of America.” He was about to add him to the list, but Miz and Maryse make their way out.

Miz says that Raw is no longer Jericho and that it hasn’t been since we [Miz and Maryse] arrived. Miz says that Raw is all about the “it couple.” Jericho jokes saying that Miz better watch…..[long pause] IT COUPLE! Miz isn’t impressed and says that the Highlight Reel has officially been cancelled and has been replaced with MizTV. He calls for the ring crew to change the set.

As the ring crew changes the set and adds Miz’ chairs into the ring, he was about to introduce his show, that is until Dean Ambrose’ music hits and he interrupts the IT COUPLE. Dean comes in and says that Jericho had a point, calling Miz a Stupid Idiot. Miz says that Jericho never said that, but Jericho said he was thinking it.

Dean continues saying that no one wants to see an episode of MizTV and calls the ring crew. The ring crew set up the Ambrose Asylum talk show. Dean introduces his guests Jericho, Miz and Maryse [because they were there already.] Dean says that he’ll be rooting for Jericho on Sunday at Payback but he believes that Jericho will come out on top. Dean mentions the checkered history between him and Jericho and apologizes for destroying the light up jacket. Dean though gives him a present which is a jacket, with Christmas lights glued on.

As Jericho was going to try on the jacket, Miz stops them saying that that’s the type of quality that comes from an IC title who is a slacker. He claims that Ambrose devalues the IC title and that everyone should be thankful Miz is on Raw. Miz is the one that should be receiving gifts. Dean says that he does have a gift for Miz and hits the dirty deeds.

Jericho then asks Maryse “you know what happens when you’re married to the Miz, you know what happens when your husbands a stupid idiot? You just made the list.” Maryse made the list…

Braun Strowman vs. Kalisto
Dumpster Match

Just as a coffin match, a Dumpster is sitting at ringside right beside the ring awaiting for someone to be thrown in. When Braun enters for the match he lifts the cover of the dumpster open.

Before Kalisto could come out, Braun got on the mic and says that everyone in the entire arena, are nothing more than trash. Braun says that when he stuffs Kalisto in the trash, it will be as he will be stuffing every person in the trash, especially Roman Reigns.

Backstage Kalisto is talking to Angle saying that he doesn’t like being treated like garbage. He says lucha means that you fight for your pride, and if he can’t fight for that, he can’t fight for anything. Kalisto finally makes his way to the ring. Kalisto also has new gear and a new entrance theme.

The match begins and Kalisto manages to land a few kicks but Braun would grab him and try to throw him into the dumpster. Kalisto would grab the ropes and connect a head kick. Kalisto hits a rebound DDT on Braun and tries for a cross body. But Braun catches him and throws him across the ring. Braun lands a clothesline in the corner and steps on Kalisto.

Braun climbs to the apron and tries to slam Kalisto in but Kalisto jumps back into the ring, and kicks Braun’s legs out making him land directly into the dumpster. Kalisto wins.

Winner: Kalisto

Strowman who obviously is not happy begins beating the crap out of Kalisto, lifting him off the mat with one arm and slamming him back down three times. Braun throws Kalisto out of the ring and slams him against the barricade… HARD! Braun lifts him up and throws Kalisto into the dumpster.

Braun now begins rolling the dumpster up the ramp with Kalisto inside. As he reaches the stage area, officials come out to stop Braun. He chases them off and threatens to hit them with the dumpster. Braun straps the top of the dumpster closed shut. He pretends to walk off, but comes running in and and rolls it off the stage area. It only lands on it’s side, not a huge impact.

Officials check on Kalisto to take us to commercials.

ANNOUNCERS: The recap what just happened between Braun and Kalisto. They cut to video of Kalisto being stretchered. They take him backstage and roll him to the ambulance… You have to start thinking if Braun would tip that ambulance as well, but he doesn’t. Announcers take us to an video package of Roman Reigns.

After Braun Strowman laid waste to several Raw Superstars last week, Kalisto has challenged his attacker to a Dumpster Match, tomorrow night at 8/7 C on Raw. But, as The Monster Among Men gears up for Roman Reigns at WWE Payback, are his masked opponent’s plans for retribution destined for the dump?

Road Warrior Animal Says That The Ascension Should Quit Trying To Be The Road Warriors

Source: Wrestlinginc.com

Road Warrior animal was recently interviewed by Hannibal TV where he gave his opinion on the WWE tag team scene.

Here’s what he had to say:

“I don’t mind Big Cass, the guy that does the New York gimmick. They’re pretty good and kinda funny. They need to learn how to wrestle first. Everybody asks me about the new guys that Paul Ellering’s with. Really great teacher, that’s all I’m gonna say. They got a lot of polishing up to do before they even think about going up to WWE, and the WWE knows that and that’s why they’re not there. The Ascension needs to quit trying to be the Road Warriors. They’re never going to be the Road Warriors. No way, shape, form, build, action, wrestling will beat Road Warriors. Leave it alone, leave it alone, that’s my advice to them, just leave it alone! Cause if they were doing the gimmick I wouldn’t try and copy them. I don’t care what the office would say, I’d say look man that ain’t right. The Road Warriors are in a league of their own, why can’t we talk about it? They need to let it go.”

7:45PM: Get ready! RAW is 15 minutes away!

8:00PM: The show has begun! It kicks off with a recap of the brutal attack on Roman Reigns last week from Braun Stroman. After that, Braun Stroman comes out to the ring, live at Ohio State University this week. The commentary team this week is Corey Graves, Michael Cole and Booker T. On the mic, Braun Stroman brags about what he did to Roman last week. He says that Roman will not be at the event tonight. The crowd does yes chants for that.

Stroman says that tonight he will tear through the locker room. Kurt Angle walks to the ring and says that he shouldn’t do more, but Stroman says “there’s more to come”. Kurt Angle goes on to say that Reigns will face Stroman at the PPV Payback. Stroman shouts “what!?” in a high pitch voice to that.

Kurt Angle then says that tonight Braun will get a night off, but Braun insists to get something. Stroman says that he wants something tonight “or else”. Angle says “Or else what?”, then Braun drops the mic and leaves. Guess we will find out what the “or else” is.

The commentary team discusses what else is on tonight. Miz TV is later, and Chris Jericho vs Samoa Joe is after the break with Seth Rollins on commentary.

8:16PM: Samoa Joe vs Chris Jericho

As mentioned before, Seth Rollins is on the mic during this match. He is hyping his match against Samoa Joe at Payback in 3 weeks. Jericho hit a Lionsault but it got a kickout. Joe was on the second rope and went for some sort of splash but Jericho dodged it then tried for a Walls Of Jericho. He got out of it. He then put Jericho into the Coquina Clutch, which Jericho tried to fight out of, but Jericho eventually tapped.

After the match Joe cut a promo on Seth Rollins, who was standing on the ramp at this point. Seth walks back to the commentary table and stands on top it while he cuts a promo of his own. He ends it by saying “You know what they say, Payback is a bitch”.

8:26PM: Samoa Joe def. Chris Jericho

8:31PM: Backstage are the Golden Truth, who are walking on their way to a match. Out of nowhere comes Braun Stroman who demolishes R-Truth and Golddust.

8:36PM: A ref is backstage telling Stroman that he has the night off. The ref gets scared off by Stroman who stands his ground.

8:36PM: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs Enzo Amore and Big Cass

Gallows and Anderson were scheduled to face Golden Truth, but since they have been attacked, Gallows and Anderson have been left high and dry. Because of that, they are calling any team from back there. Enzo and Cass answer the call.

Enzo gets beat up for a long time then hot tags Cass in against Anderson. He hits an Empire Elbow then a Big Boot. Enzo gets tagged in. Gallows gets big booted out of the ring. Enzo goes for something but Anderson reverses by throwing Enzo into the corner then pinning him.

8:51PM: Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson def. Enzo Amore and Big Cass

8:58PM: It’s time for another instalment of MizTV. The first MizTV on RAW in a long time. As The Miz was going through the usual introduction, Dean Ambrose rudely cuts him off. Before he even gets introduced, Dean is on the set of MizTV. Dean banters with the crowd and The Miz does not enjoy it. Both wrestlers exchange decent promos, then Maryse says the old saying of “The Championship doesn’t make the man, the man makes the championship”. After that, Dean attacks Miz. Maryse throws a mic to Dean’s back which stuns him. Miz tries for a Skull Crushing Final but Dean tries to reverse it into a Dirty Deeds. When he tries for the move, Miz escapes. The segment overall was very good.

9:08PM: We go backstage and see that Braun Stroman has beaten up Kalisto. Big Show blindsides Braun and says “Why don’t you pick on someone your own size!”. That ends the segment.

9:13PM: TJ Perkins vs Jack Gallagher

We got some Cruiserweight action now! TJ Perkins is facing Jack Gallagher. Before the match starts, they introduce Neville to ringside. Austin Aries also comes out but he comes out with a mic. He invited himself to ringside. As usual in this match Jack Gallagher does his Mary Poppins spot with the umbrella diving to the outside.

As this match was underway Neville attacked Austin Aries at ringside. As the ref was shouting at Neville, TJP kicks the middle rope into Gallaghers head then hits the Detonation kick for the win.

9:29PM: TJ Perkins def Jack Gallagher

9:37PM: Backstage The Hardys are being interviewed. Sheamus and Cesaro walk into the frame and say that they welcome them to WWE. Cesaro also mentions his 1-on-1 match with Matt later.

9:44PM: Sasha Banks vs Alexa Bliss vs Mickie James vs Nia Jax (#1 Contenders Match)

We need to crown the new #1 contender for the RAW Women’s Championship now that RAW has gotten some new arrivals via the Superstar Shakeup. This match had lots of great spots. When we came back from the break, Nia was slamming people on top of other people, stacking them like pancakes. Sasha Banks tried for a sleeper on Nia, but Jax slammed her down brutally instead. For quite some time in this match Nia was cleaning house. It came to a stop when Mickie James put Jax into an armbar. But Jax escaped it and continued her attack. She charged at Banks and James in the corner, but both dodged and she hit the post. Alexa comes in and throws Banks out of the ring, and starts fighting with Mickie James.

James calls for a move but Sasha comes in and interrupts it. Banks hits the double knees on Bliss and goes for the pin, but Jax pulls her out of the ring during the pin. The ring is now just Alexa and Banks. Alexa gets put in the Bank Statement. Mickie James interrupts it. The two trade punches. The two start trading blows on the top rope. Jax comes in and Samoa Drops Banks. Bliss kicks Nia out of the ring and pins Banks instead. Alexa Bliss wins the match and becomes new #1 contender.

10:12PM: Finn Balor def. Curt Hawkins

10:24PM: Chris Jericho gets interviewed backstage and Bray Wyatt cuts a promo about his “House of Horrors” match.

10:32PM: We see Alicia Fox showing Dana Brooke a photo of when the powder got on her during 205 Live. Emma comes into shot and says that Dana had been joking about that all day. Alicia gets offended and says “I don’t want to be your friend anymore”. Ouch.

10:33PM: Cesaro vs Jeff Hardy

This 1-on-1 match is to hype up the tag title match at the Payback PPV, where Sheamus and Cesaro will face The Hardy Boyz. Jeff Hardy tried to go to the top rope during this match but he ate an Uppercut instead. Jeff Hardy throws Cesaros legs onto the top rope then dropkicks him to the outside. Jeff reverses something with a Twist of Fate, then hits Cesaro with a Swanton Bomb for the win.

10:47PM: Jeff Hardy def. Cesaro

10:50PM: A medical report was being delivered from backstage but the reporter gets interrupted by Heath Slater and Rhyno. Slater cutting a promo, but he stops in fear when Stroman walks by him.
