Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor posted the following on his Instagram account of his action figure alongside Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson’s. This is just Finn teasing a Bullet Club reunion. He likes to play with the fans sometimes.
New WWE United States Champion, Roman Reigns was recently interviewed by the Inquirer where he talked about being in The Shield, learning from others & more.
Here are the highlights.
Learning from Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose:
“I absolutely learned a lot from them. A smart man, a good competitor, and a great performer is going to continue to learn because if you know everything, you better retire. I think there’s a whole lot of stuff that I took from them, and anytime you’re around with people, influenced and bond with them, you’re going to build those characteristics and you’re going to learn from them.”
Possible Shield reunion:
“I think those guys have a deep love and respect for what The Shield did for us and what it represents,” he said. “For me, there are times I miss it, the six-man matches were having, the tag team matches, it seemed like were doing it every night with the new cast on the other side, but it’s really good every single time. For me, that’s a good place to learn and grow and push myself to be ready for the spot I’m in right now. As The Shield, we felt like we dominated the main event and we’re still doing that. We’re very proud of that. I would never say never. I think we’re all very happy with where we’re at. It’s going to take something drastic, something huge in the WWE to bring The Shield back. I think nothing’s impossible in the WWE. As we always say, stay tuned.”
During tonight’s WWE Raw broadcast, it was announced that on next week’s episode (June 13, 2016) There will be an Ambrose Asylum segment which will have Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins be the special guests. A small Shield reunion.

Welcome my WarGods to the WWE Raw… reunion?
Throughout the day today we’ve heard that many older starts such as Ric Flair, HBK, Scott Hall, X-Pac, APA, New Age Outlaws, & even Kevin Nash whose contract was just reinstated following dropped charges after his Christmas morning assault case; will be appearing on Raw. Now these are just the bigger names and if Raw will be an “Old School Raw” I expect more names to appear throughout the night. My hopes is that considering older talents are returning for a one night surprise will Sting be in attendance to hype his feud and possible match against Triple H at WrestleMania?
As much as I can dream I don’t know what will happen tonight, but I hope it’s good considering this is the final Raw before the annual Royal Rumble this Sunday! Speaking about the Royal Rumble, there have been rumors that Bo Dallas will be returning to the event; in addition DDP is also expected to make an in-ring return. Now we all know he won’t win but it doesn’t mean he won’t connect a few Diamond Cutters to suffice out want for pain.
Let the Raw reunion show begin with high hopes that WWE leaves us wanting more, and not questioning our lives for giving them another 3 hours of it!
As a side note, the “fired” superstars (Dolph Ziggler, Ryback, and Erick Rowan) are said to be backstage at tonight’s show; it doesn’t mean they’ll make an appearance but hopefully they’ll be used in some manner.
And to start the recap off right… let’s hear the story of how creepy Shia Labeouf truly is.
Seriously we’re all thinking it, this guy just made a song about it.
Remember to keep refreshing for the most recent updates in this LIVE recap, or else you’ll be reading the same sentence over and over again and say that I can’t recap, it’s happened before so hence the reminder to refresh.
Hogan, HBK, and Ric Flair talk about their past wins in the Royal Rumble and give their predictions to this Sunday’s Royal Rumble PPV.
Backstage: Bad News Barrett had an interview with Renee Young but Kane walks in and makes a non title match featuring Bad News Barrett & Dean Ambrose. Barrett is expected by the Authority to cause pain and take care of Dean Ambrose.
Video: Raw starts with a Martin Luther King remembering video. You can see it below:
Following the MLK tribute video, the Raw new entrance video plays.
In Ring: Brock Lesnar makes his entrance with Paul Heyman.
Lesnar walks around angry as Heyman yells at him to calm down. Before Paul can do his usual entrance Lesnar grabs the mic saying that he’s there to fight and calls out Seth Rollins. Rollins doesn’t come out and Lesnar isn’t surprised. He gives Rollins 10 seconds to come out, and the audience begins counting down. By 10 Rollins doesn’t come out, but instead Triple H’s music hits and HHH comes out.
Triple H slowly makes his way to the ring addressing Brock Lesnar & Heyman. He understands their anger but Lesnar did attack because Lesnar attacked first last week delivering a German suplex to him. Instead of fighting, Triple H tells them to go and grabs a steak and talk things through. Lesnar demands that HHH either fix it or he’ll fight him.
Heyman yells at Lesnar that HHH pays the bills and tries to hold Lesnar back. Stephanie’s music hits and Big Show, Kane and her come out giving HHH some backup. Brock eager to fight then gets distracted to Rollins who appears on the Titon-Tron. Rollins tells Lesnar that he’ll fight him before Rollins takes the WWE Champion on Sunday.
Heyman interjects and says that he wants the adults to talk and addresses his promo towards the Authority. He threatens them that they either tie up their puppy or they’ll be many other injuries in the WWE locker-room. Heyman hypes Lesnar that at the Royal Rumble he will remain the champion.
Cena’s music hits and he makes his way out in a new neon blue gear. Cena comes out and says that he’s always fighting and tells the Authority to keep working him to the bone and fight for his job; because when they do it lights a fire in him making him a better stronger person. Cena calls Stephanie and Triple H the world’s biggest Ash-holes. Cena tries to leave but Stephanie stops him and calls him back to the ramp area.
She wants to savour the moment and showcases the turning point in Cena’s career. Cena once inspired the WWE universe by always winning by the end of the day. But today John Cena is personally the man who lied to everyone by bringing the Authority back. The Authority is there because of John Cena, and she uses the term “Fire” for Cena being responsible for the firing of Dolph Ziggler, Ryback & Erick Rowan. No one wants to cheer for John Cena and not see him win the Royal Rumble. From behind Rollins calls Cena a loser over and over again, kind of like a 3rd grade child! Rollins reminds Cena that his time is up and to tuck his legs between his legs… Cena than makes fun of that screw-up and says that he’ll find Rollins little room and kick his ass and demands that if he wins at the Royal Rumble the Authority re-instate Ziggler, Ryback, and Rowan’s job back.
Triple H asks the audience who did like of the thought but they already did give Cena a chance. Triple H says that if he wants another opportunity at their jobs, If Cena wins a match tonight all three guys are back to the WWE locker-room, but if Cena loses he loses his opportunity for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. Cena now has to make a decision whether he wants to lose his opportunity at the WWE Champion. But instead Triple H comes in saying that it’s not Cena’s job to decide. He calls on the WWE universe and gives the decision to the WWE universe on the WWE app.
Announcers: They hype the WWE App and tell the audience to vote on whether John Cena puts his title opportunity on the line. Michael Cole than takes us to a tutorial on how to download the WWE App. I still can’t believe he’s teaching us this dam thing…

Daniel delivers his chest kicks to Bray Wyatt who is one his knees. Daniel goes for his head kick but Bray counters. Bray goes for the attack but Daniel throws him to the outside and lands a running suicide dive.
He rolls Bray into the ring and as the ref is distracted Kane pushes Daniel off the apron and smashes his head against the ring apron. He rolls Daniel back in where Bray throws Daniel into the bottom turnbuckle and connects his sister Abigail for the 1..2..3!
Winner: Bray Wyatt
After the match Kane grabs Daniel Bryan and connects a choke-slam. Kane begins landing punch after punch on Daniels head as the ref yells for him to stop. Kane looks to stop but instead falls back down and begins raining more punches forcing the ref to push him off.

From the other side Shawn Michaels comes out also telling HHH to get rid of the suite. HBK jokes that he should bring Cena’s friends back and they go back and forth. Nash asks that it wouldn’t be DX without X-Pac. Damien comes in doing the X-Pac gimmick while X-Pac actually comes walking in. They joke around and X-Pac likes Damien’s mirroring. Miz comes in saying that Damien is his stunt double and demands that he go change. Miz tries for the kliq hand gesture but no one obliges. Miz tells them to call him and walks away. Nash asks Triple H what type of show he’s running and Triple H ends that segment saying that he’s so ashamed.
It was actually pretty funny.
Here is Damien as X-Pac.
Everytime I see Kevin Nash, i just think of this:
Announcers: Recap when Triple H made the decision for the Audience to vote for Cena if he should put his title opportunity on the line.
In Ring: Byron Saxton is in the ring with three stools and introduces the WWE Legends panel, HBK, Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, all come out too good pops.
Byron asks the panel if Cena should put his WWE title opportunity on the line.
HBK says yes, Flair says no, and Hogan says definitely yes. The man just has to be different.
Byron now focuses on the Royal Rumble and asks if Flairs Royal Rumble in 92 was memorable for not only winning but winning the World Title at the same time. Flair remembers saying that it was the greatest night of his careers and delivers a promo which ends with Randy Savage going into the HOF.
Byron know asks Shawn Michael about his Rumble moments when he won two of them in a row. Michael says that the Rumble is the future talents and is the making of WrestleMania. Without the Royal Rumble there would be no Mr.WrestleMania.
Byron asks what Hogan remembers about the Royal Rumbles he was a part of. Hogan says that all talents were super talents because you never knew who was coming out, and the new talent was ready to compete.
Byron asks for this year’s picks. HBK calls Bray Wyatt to win this year’s Royal Rumble. HBK calls him a talented man and has the focus. Hogan comes in saying that Wyatt’s not gonna win. HBK gets a bit annoyed and keeps bugging how Hogan always pushes him. They joke around and Hogan gives his predication which is Daniel Bryan. Flair comes in saying that Dean Ambrose will win.
Following their prediction The Big Show’s music hits and he makes his way out clapping. Hopefully he won’t start crying because no one picked him.

Show stares down on HBK, and says that Shawn faded out of the picture because he knew Show would eat him alive in the ring.
Show continues saying how the legends are washed up has-beens and begging for attention. Hogan drops the mic and HBK looks to be getting annoyed. Flair bounces off the ropes gently annoyed. Show goes on to call out all the talents in the back claiming that nobody will lift the Big Show over the top rope. Does he not remember Cesaro lifting him up?
Big Show than demands for the Legends to get out of his ring and if they don’t Show will give them a preview of the Royal Rumble right now. Flair asks if he’s done and begins taking off his coat. Flair does his usual punching and profiling and attacks Big Show, he runs the ropes and Big Show connects his WMD knocking out Ric Flair. HBK and Hogan checks on Flair as Roman Reigns music hits. infinite punching!
Roman walks to the ring as Hogan and HBK take Flair out of the ring. Roman steps into the ring and comes face-to-face with Big Show. Show stops him warning that something bad will happen to Roman and he will knock him out. Announcers: Show the Dallas Cowboys who are in the American Airlines Center enjoying Raw and right behind the announcers themselves.
The announcers recap the WWE Network and the benefits people could get by getting the WWE Network for only $9.99. I’m amazed Michael Cole isn’t showing us how to download it. They send us off to a video recapping the rules of the Royal Rumble and statistics. The road to WrestleMania truly begins on Sunday!
The New Day comes out with mics in their hands. They come out talking on the mic preaching that they’ll win in their match.
Big E & Kofi Kingston (w/ Xavier Woods) vs. Cesaro & Tyson Kidd (w/ Natalya, Rosebuds & Adam Rose)
I won’t be doing a play-by-play for this one but know that Big E utilizes their strength against Tyson Kidd. Adam Rose uses a distraction to allow Cesaro and Tyson to gain the momentum and take out Kofi Kingston who tagged in earlier. Cesaro lifts Kofi up for an elevated suplex and Tyson climbs the top rope and waits. Tyson tags in and jumps on Kofi to both landing the suplex. Tyson gets a 2 count and both Tyson and Cesaro continue to wear down Kofi Kingston. Shit they won. You would think WWE would focus a little bit on Cesaro & Kidd considering their getting more attention than New Day.
Announcers: Next The NWO comes out to the WWE ring!
Announcers: Breaking News Daniel Bryan faces Kane in a no DQ match on Smackdown this Thursday. If Daniel Bryan loses he’s out of the Royal Rumble.
In Ring: Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and X-Pac enter to a decent pop from the crowd.
Hall gets on the mic saying how you can’t have a reunion without Pac, Big Sexy and the Bad guy. Nash got on the mic and plugged the WWD Network, which was the way he pronounced it. He recalls when NWO was the reason Vince upped his game during the attitude era, and if it wasn’t for them WWE wouldn’t be as they are today. X-Pac gets on the mic and before ranting on too much the Ascension’s music hits and Viktor and Connor come to the ring.
They get into the ring and deliver a promo claiming that the NWO are only three old dogs deserving to be put out of their misery and that the Ascension are the two to do it. Nash laughs at this bad promo as Viktor says that they were born and bred to rip and shred. The Ascension is the best tag team ever and no tag team from WCW will beat them. At this time a NWO chant begins and Scott Hall throws a toothpick in Viktor’s face. They look to start a fight but JBL comes out and gets on a mic. JBL is annoyed of all this talk by the Ascension and made a phone call to another legend. JBL removes his shirt and reveals the APA shirt and Faarooq comes out. They get into the ring and the Ascension is surrounded by NWO & APA, but waits there’s more! All of a sudden we hear the OHH you didn’t know?!
The New Age Outlaws make their way to the ring and Road Dogg gets on the mic delivering a promo asking who invited the jackasses pointing at the Ascension.

Rusev (c) (w/ Lana) vs. R-Truth
Obvious squash match, how nice for MLK so see he’s people by a Russian.
Truth tells Rusev that every American superstar is coming for him at the Royal Rumble.

Winner: Rusev (c)
Backstage: Lesnar comes face-to-face with Rollins as J&J are behind him. Lesnar tells Rollins that he won’t hurt him tonight and hopes that he takes out John Cena so on Sunday Lesnar gets paid to take out Rollins, and he will. Rollins better sleep with one eye open!
Main Event for tonight:
Jey Uso (c) (w/ Jimmy Uso) vs. Miz (w/ Mizdow)
As usual Damien gets more of a reaction than Miz and the action is fast and aggressive for Miz. Miz keeps the advantage on Jey and gets multiple 2 count pins. Eventually Jey gets the advantage as Damien tried to interfere and manages to grab the 1..2..3!
Winner: Jey Uso (c)
Announcers: They once again hype the WWE Network for only $9.99.
Backstage: Hogan goes on a Cena hype promo talking to big about Cena as if he was god. Honestly whenever Hogan talks about Cena it’s as if he has a huge hard-on for him.
Seth Rollins (MITB), Kane & Big Show vs. John Cena
If Cena wins he gets Ziggler, Ryback and Rowans jobs back. If he loses he loses his chance for the WWE title at the Royal Rumble PPV.
The match starts with Rollins vs. Cena as Kane and Show are on the apron. Rollins tags in Big Show and now its Cena vs. Show. Big Show runs for the attack but Cena ducks, punches Rollins off the apron and tries to attack Show but he stops him quickly. Show drags Cena into his corner and begins punching away and slapping Cena’s chest. Rollins tags in and punches away on Cena wearing him down. Rollins connects a hard clothesline and pins for a 2 count. Rollins takes Cena into a corner and stomps away on Cena over and over and over again. Rollins argues with the ref who pushed him off and tries to attack Cena but he counters connecting a running bulldog and stays on the mat favoring his knee.
Rollins rolls to the outside and then rolls back in and tags in Kane. Kane takes Cena into the corner and punches away on him. Kane tosses Cena’s head against Big Shows boot and Kane tags in Big Show. Show begins connecting a few punches to Cena and tosses him into the corner turnbuckles landing a running hip attack. Big Show tries for a slap but Cena counters and attacks Show with multiple punches. He tries for a scoop slam but Big Show’s weight is too much and Cena falls back. Show tags in Kane as they take us to commercials.
We return to Rollins yelling at Cena in the corner and land a running forearm slam. Rollins pins for a 2 count and asks if Big Show wants in. Cena grabs Rollins pants and tries to drag himself back to his feet. Rollins tries for a punch but Cena counters into his own. He tries to throw Rollins against the ropes but Seth counters locking in a rear choke hold and begins to wear Cena down. Big Show tries for a body splash off the second rope but Cena moves out of the way and Big Show rolls tagging in Rollins. Seth tries for a jumping knee but Cena counters punching Kane off the apron and delivering his shoulders and five knuckle shuffles. Cena tries for the AA but J&J grab Rollins not allowing Cena to connect. Cena double clotheslines J&J off the apron and turns into a super kick from Rollins. Seth pins and gets a close 2 count. Rollins reaches his feet and tries to attack but Cena connects the AA and pins. Before the ref gets to 3 Kane pulls Cena out and throws him against the steel steps. Kane and Big Show stand on the apron and the ref counts for a count out. Triple H and Stephanie stand above Cena mocking him. The ref reaches 9 and Cena jumps in.
Rollins annoyed tags in Kane and demands that he finish it. Kane tries for the chock slam and connects giving him a very close 2 count. Kane tags in Rollins and he waits for his curb stomp, before Rollins could connect Sting comes on the titon-tron getting everyone’s attention. The lights go out and Sting makes his way out and into the arena. He points at Triple H as John Cena rolls Seth Rollins and gets the 1..2..3!
Winner: John Cena
John Cena runs out of the ring as all of the Authority members run in. Triple H annoyed begins breaking apart the announcers table as Sting remains on the stage area.
Triple H gets on the mic and yells that this isn’t happening! Triple H calls out that Sting doesn’t belong here and yells NO to the audience. Triple H calls out for Sting as he stands on the announcers table. All of a sudden Brock Lesnar’s music hits and Rollins face gets serious.
Lesnar and Heyman make their way down to the ring to Rollins, Show and Kane. Lesnar runs in and spears Rollins as Kane and Big Show pull him off. Lesnar grabs Kane and connects an F5, Lesnar grabs Big Show and connects an F5 which allows Rollins to run out of the ring and up the ramp.
Raw ends with Lesnar standing tall in the ring.
So there we go, Dolph Ziggler, Erick Rowan, & Ryback have their jobs back. Sting makes another appearance on WWE TV and Lesnar completely destroys everyone. It was a decent show, the ending at least made up for it.
Did you enjoy the show? Did you enjoy the veterans? Did you enjoy Sting?
This was easily the MEME of the night following Raw
