Where Are They Now – Santino Marella

WWE caught up with Santino Marella at his gym in Mississauga Ontario, Battle Arts Academy.

I am showcasing this video just because Battle Arts along with Anthony and Yuki, have truly changed me this last year I’ve been training under them. I never understood the term “respect your dojo” until I actually started at Battle Arts. It’s a place where the stresses of your everyday life can be put on hold the moment you step foot on the mat or ring. It’s a place that means a lot to me being a student there and frankly I always love seeing the deserved attention it gets.

Nikki Bella Praised for Match and Santino’s Students Receive WWE Tryouts

— Several of Santino Marella’s students from his Battle Arts Academy were used as “Rosebuds” at last week’s WWE SmackDown and Superstars TV tapings. Also, “Hornet” and Randy Reign received WWE tryouts prior to the WWE SmackDown tapings. No word on if they will be signed to developmental contracts as of this writing.

— According to one WWE agent/producer, Nikki Bella had one of her “best matches ever” at Saturday night’s WWE live event at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Nikki teamed will Natalya to defeat NXT Divas Sasha Banks and Charlotte. Both WWE NXT Divas looked very good during the match as well.

Alright, round two but this time I provide you the spoilers for this fridays airing of Smackdown.

Sit back, open your eyes, and enjoy the stories WWE decides to show us!

Dark Matches:

Adam Rose vs. El Locale

Winner: Adam Rose

Tyson Kidd vs. Sami Zayn

Winner: Tyson Kidd

Video: Recapping the surgery announcement from Daniel Bryan.

In Ring: Cena comes out to a big reaction to address Bray Wyatt challenge for Payback. The footage of the challenge is played from this past Raw. Cena begins with a nut joke and puking out the singing gimmick. He accepts the challenge at Payback and challenges any member of the Wyatt family to a match for Smackdown.

Bray Wyatt appears on the titon-tron. He hypes up Payback and their match and refers to Cena as a “funny man.” Bray thanks Cena for finding him a cure, and sings to close the segment.

Video: Bolieve vignette was shown.

The Usos vs. Cody Rhodes & Goldust

Winners: The Usos

It was a slow match but ended on a high note as the Usos picked up the win. Afterwards, Cody complained to JBL, who was on commentary, and then left without Goldust. Cody’s aggravation is beginning to show.

El Torito vs Heath Slator

Winner: El Torito

That’s right, you read that correctly. El Torito pins Slator with a roll-up after some mis-communication between both of them.

Video: Recap of Raw where the Shield attacked Evolution and stood tall by the ending of the night.

Nikki Bella vs. Natalya (Eva Marie was Special Referee)

Winner: Nikki Bella

The crowd for some reason gave Eva a good reaction, but as usual bad match and Nikki wins with a roll-up. Natalya was all over Eva after the match.

Backstage: Dolph Ziggler delivered a serious promo about facing Batista

Dolph Ziggler vs. Batista

Winner: Dolph Ziggler by DQ

Batista went down low with an obvious low-blow for the DQ. He hit the Batista Bomb on Ziggler after the match. He begins leaving but returns and delivers another Batista bomb but on the barricade this time. The refs run out and attend to Dolph Ziggler with no signs of the Shield anywhere.

Video: Bo Dallas debuts next week on Smackdown

Sheamus came out and spotted a woman with an “I’d trade my husband for Sheamus” poster. He gave her his t-shirt.

Sheamus vs. Titus O’Neil

Winner: Sheamus

Titus cut a pre-match promo in which he mocked Sheamus for being foreign and holding the U.S. Title. He asked Sheamus what color he was and described him as “hot mayonnaise.” There was more racially tinged comments and then he said he wasn’t afraid of ghosts. The bell rang and Sheamus hit the Brogue Kick for the win and a big pop.. That ends that..

Santino Marella (w/ Emma) vs. Damien Sandow

Winner: Santino Marella

Santino won with the cobra in less than a minute.. More horrible matches for Damien.

R-Truth vs. Cesaro (w/ Paul Heyman)

Winner: Cesaro

In Ring: Cena came out for his open challange to the Wyatt Family and got a decent ovation. The Wyatt’s surrounded the ring but before they all could attack the Usos run out to offer support. Bray send in Erick to face Cena.

John Cena (w/ The Usos) vs. Erick Rowan (w/ Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper)

Winner: John Cena

Cena had the STF locked in as Luke ran in to break the hold. The Usos stopped him allowing Cena to hit the AA and gain the win.

This ends Smackdown.

Dark Match

Wyatt sat at the top of the ramp to close the taping. Cena asked the crowd if they wanted to see one more match. He called out the Wyatt Family for a six-man tag. Wyatt refused at first. Cena got the crowd chanting “you suck” at Wyatt which did it. Except it didn’t. Cena called for the bell. The Wyatt’s ran to the ring to avoid the count out.

John Cena & The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family

Winner: John Cena & The Usos

There was a triple Five Knuckle Shuffle and a double splash on Harper. There was a triple pin to send the crowd home happy to end the show…

There we go, hope I didn’t ruin your week. Who am I kidding, If you read through this whole thing, well that was your own problem.

Well, It’s that time of week again where I look into the future and provide you the *spoilers* for this upcoming Smackdown on Friday. So sit down, get comfy and read your pretty little eyes away.

Here we go!

Dark Match:

Bo Dallas vs. Local Wrestler

Arena Note: The entire upper deck is tarped off with half of the 200 level tarped off as well. A really low turnout for Nashville.

Titus O’Neil vs. Bordell Walker (Local Wrestler)

Announcement: Night of Champions pay-per-view will be held in Nashville on September 21…

In Ring: Paul Heyman cut a promo reminding fans that Brock Lesnar is the one in 21-1.

Paige vs. Aksana

Winner: Paige

A physical match that was reminiscent of NXT women’s matches. The divas division appears to be getting more watchable as they physically beat each other down, and not yell and scream while pulling hair.

Backstage: Sheamus had an interview backstage regarding his matchup against Batista

El Torito vs. Hornswoggle

Winner: El Torito

This actually happened. No Joke. Their bringing the small wrestlers back.

Alexander Rusev vs. R-Truth

Winner: Alexander Rusev

A quick match but Rusev looked vicious during the match and had a post match decimation of Xavier Woods.

Santino Marella (w/Emma) vs. Fandango (w/Layla)

Winner: Santino Marella

Santino won via sunset flip after a distraction on Fandango by Layla and Emma on the outside. It was not an especially great match. There was some bad comedy after the match with Emma asking for a high five and Santino forgetting to take the cobra sleeve off.

Sheamus vs. Batista

Winner: Batista

Good match, and both worked each other over well.

After the Smackdown taping, Batista grabbed a mic and challenged Sheamus to a last man standing match.

Dark Match

Sheamus vs. Batista (Last Man Standing)

Winner: Sheamus

Sheamus won via Brogue kick to send everyone home happy.

Side note: Sheamus grabbed a Warrior-clad little girl from the crowd and carried her around for a bit. It was a touching enough moment that one of the photographers had to wipe away tears. He finished up the evening by signing some autographs and posing for photos. What a class act.

There we go, now we know what will happen this friday. Be happy, don’t be sad; Be Glad, don’t be bad and remember Wrestling lives deep inside everyone.

Smackdown **Spoilers!** Mar.28.2014

Show: Smackdown

Welcome my WarGods to the Smackdown Spoilers.. I place where you can look into the future and see what the outcomes for this Fridays Smackdown is.. Considering the shows taped on a Tuesday.. These two are an odd couple, and their segments arent that funny either. WWE please stop this!

Jack Swagger (w/ Zeb Colter & Cesaro) vs Jimmy Uso (w/ Jey Uso)

Winner: Jack Swagger via Submission

Mark Henry vs. The Miz

Winner: Mark Henry

There was a point in the match where Miz threw Henry over the top rope to prove he could throw him out if need be at the Battle Royal. Henry though threw Miz into the steps and landed his strongest slam to end the match.. Thank you!

Reigns ended up pinning Harper to win the match. After the match, Cena cut a promo praising The Shield and they posed together, as seen below:
