RUMOR: WWE Had Plans For A WrestleMania Debut For Shinsuke Nakamura

Source: SportsKeeda.com

As we all saw, Shinsuke Nakamura made his WWE Main Roster debut on Smackdown Live following WrestleMania 33, but apparently WWE had plans to have him debut at the big event instead.

WWE originally had plans to escalate the feud between The Miz and Smackdown Live GM Daniel Bryan. It would get to a point where Miz would put his IC title on the line at WrestleMania 33 against a participant of Daniel’s choosing. The participant would be Shinsuke Nakamura.

The plans were cancelled after John Cena had agreed to a match against Miz and Maryse hence why Nakamura debuted after mania instead.

It should be noted that Shinsuke Nakamura and Tye Dillinger are being advertised for upcoming NXT live events in Atlanta, Georgia, Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Concord, North Carolina on April 13th-15th.

Tye Dillinger & Shinsuke Nakamura were two talents who debuted on Smackdown Live following WrestleMania 33.

Nakamura Says His Goodbuy Following Match at NXT TakeOver: Orlando

As seen yesturday, Nakamura was defeated by Bobby Roode during the main event at NXT TakeOver: Orlando. Following the match, Shinsuke Nakamura received a greta ovation from fans and appeared to say his goodbuy. This would be followed by a curtain call of sorts. As Nakamura celebrated in the ring fans would chant “Thank you Sinsuke.”

As reported, Nakamura is rumored to be going to the Smackdown brand and could make his debut as early as this Tuesday night.

Nakamura tweeted out the following:

Shinsuke Nakamura Talks Coming To WWE, His Mannerisms & Not Liking His WWE Theme At First

Shinsuke Nakamura was recently interviewed by ESPN in promotion for NXT TakeOver and WrestleMania. During the interview Nakamura spoke on several subjects which included his mannerisms, coming to WWE and not liking his WWE theme at first.

Here are some highlights:

Regarding his Mannerisms:

“Everything is from my real life, from the moving of the fingers and the body movement — that’s from classic ballet or martial arts. I trained in classic ballet and martial arts. Some things come from yoga, some things come from kobudo or kung fu, I just mixed them together. It’s like hybrid martial arts style”

Not Liking His WWE Theme At First:

“Before my debut, WWE sent me a sample of the music and I sent it back. I said, ‘I don’t want to use this, I don’t want to use this.’ They tried to keep it and I said, ‘No, no, no.’ Finally, I asked them if they could listen to some samples, and we went back and forth and finally they sent me what you hear now, and I said, ‘Yes, OK. I’ll use this one.’”

Leaving NJPW to Come To WWE:

“For a long time, almost 14 years, I wrestled in Japan, so I didn’t think I would leave New Japan Pro Wrestling, but I started changing my mind. I wanted to see the other world. I wanted to change something. I wanted to be bigger. I wanted to change my world so I felt it was my destiny to come here. At TakeOver Dallas I wrestled Sami Zayn. I never wrestled with him before. Everything was for the first time, but I already had experienced wrestling at huge venues so I wasn’t nervous — but that match was huge for me.”

Shinsuke Nakamura Talks His Dream WrestleMania Opponent, NXT & Moving To A Brand

Current NXT talent Shinsuke Nakamura was recently interviewed by SportsKeeda where he spoke on his dream WrestleMania match, NXT & more.

Here are some highlights:

Has NXT made him a better wrestler?:

“Lot of people ask me this question. So, NXT is not just developmental; it is the third brand. Raw, SmackDown, then NXT. NXT does not only have young talent, but it also has me, Bobby Roode. Before this, there were experienced wrestlers like Finn Balor and Samoa Joe. It’s a mix. We’re trying to change WWE’s wrestling style.”

His Dream Wrestlemania opponent:

“I want to face AJ Styles again.”

Which Brand Nakamura is wanting to go on:

“Either brand is okay. Raw has Joe, Finn. So much NXT talent that it’s comfortable for me. SmackDown has AJ Styles, Randy Orton, John Cena. I want to wrestle all of them. So either!”

Bullet Club in the WWE?:

I want to see a new movement like the Bullet Club. I would want to see Karl Anderson in the group. He is one of my best friends.
